The race
Run on an 8 mile rolling, smooth road circuit in Walkersville, MD just north of Frederick, MD. There will be a neutral start leaving from Glade Elementary School. The center line rule will be in effect and enforced for the entire race including the neutral start. The races are run rain or shine. For all junior riders (including senior races) gear restrictions will be enforced. Roll out of all junior rider bike will be performed prior to the race.
Fields
Maximum field size for the Women 4 is 50. Maximum field size for all other races is 75. Field size limits will be enforced. Races with combined fields (the Master's 30+/40+ race, the Master's 50+/60+ and the Men's 4/5 race are being run as a single event with separate results and prize lists. The Women's 1/2/3 races will also be run as a single event with separate scoring and prize lists for the Cat 1/2 racers and the Cat 3 racers.
Directions
From I-70 take 40W. 40W becomes US 15 N. Merge onto MD 26 Liberty Road/MD 194 Walkersville. Turn slight left onto MD 194 N/Woodsboro Pike. Turn left onto W Crum Road. W Crum Road becomes Main St. Turn right onto E Pennsylvania Ave. Turn left onto Glade Road. School is on the left.
Parking
Glade Elementary School (9525 Glade Road Walkersville, MD 21793) and along Glade Road. Do not park at the county park across the street.
Registration
Inside Glade Elementary School. Registration opens at 7:00 am and closes 15 minutes before each event. Online registration closes midnight March 23. A $5 late fee will be applied to entries postmarked after March 23 and race day registration. $5 unattached rider fee will be added for applicable riders. No substitutions for any reason after March 15. Higher entry fees reflect the increased cost of police marshals for this event.
