NEW team sponsor, PARVILLA Cycle and Multisport is very excited about the opportunity to sponsor ABRT and wants to really kick it off by inviting the team to an exclusive GRAND OPENING party for the “John Howard Performance Sports Training Center and Fitting Studio”. Named after the legendary endurance athlete and cyclist extraordinaire “John Howard” they are excited to announce that John will be there in person for the Grand Opening festivities and the private team function. He will be available to chat about fitting, coaching and training, as well as signing his new book launched earlier this year “Mastering Cycling”. This is a rare east coast trip for John and a great opportunity to meet one of the greatest US cycling legends!

One of John’s coaching clients and great friend of Parvilla and ABRT, current US National Elite Women’s Road Campion, Robin Farina will also be a special guest for the weekend. Her fiancé Chris Sheehan, a former pro for Team Saturn will be joining her. This is an awesome opportunity for the women on the team to meet one of the nation’s top female riders!

The Training Center features a custom designed 8 station multi-rider Computrainer system. To start, evening classes will be available Monday thru Friday and two classes will be available on Saturday mornings. Additional weekly morning classes will be scheduled as demand increases with plans to add a shower in January. Reservations will be able to be booked on-line starting November 14. Special Discounted pricing for ABRT members will be offered.

The New Bike Fitting Studio is like no other in the region and several team members have already been fit at exclusive team pricing! Featuring the completely robotic GURU Dynamic Fit Unit (DFU), this is the most advanced bike fitting program in the Mid Atlantic. GURU Bike’s VP, Robert Pinazza will be flying in from Montreal for the evening to answer questions about the DFU and Guru’s custom bike line up.

In addition Karl Heidgen, VP of Pactimo Custom Cycling Apparel , another team sponsor will be coming from Colorado to show off the 2012 team kit and answer questions. George Shriver of Giant Bikes and Jim Youngblood from Mavic will be also joining us for the evening. There will be a couple of cool door prizes along with John sharing a few words to help motivate the team for the coming winter training.
