At the 2017 MABRA Awards night, Bobby – The Baltimore Bullet – Phillips was awarded the MABRA Lifetime Achievement Award. We’re proud to have Bobby as a long time member of ABRT. Well deserved. He received a signed letter from USA Cycling outlining his contributions.
On behalf of USA Cycling, I write in recognition of your lifetime of contributions to the Mid-Atlantic Bicycle Racing Association (MABRA) and your truly remarkable career in the sport of cycling. With a cycling career spanning more than 60 years, you have left an indelible mark on our sport. I was thrilled to learn that after decades of excellence as a competitor, you are still active and racing today. Your message is one of resilience_ and dogged perseverance, which I truly hope is heard by generations of bike racers to come. The foundation for the sport of cycling you have built in MABRA serves as a roadmap for cycling involvement nationwide. This foundation includes:
• Organizing the Turkey Day Criterium for more than 25 years
• Multi-time Masters National Champion across various disciplines
• Induction into T-Town Track Cycling Hall of Fame in 2016
• Two-time National Best All-Round Rider
• Service on the USCF Board of Directors
Your commitment and dedication to the sport deserves to be recognized and honored. It is my heartfelt desire that you continue to ride and race for years to come, and I look forward to seeing you at coming USA Cycling events. Congratulations on your success and best wishes on all of your future endeavors.
My Best Regards,
Derek Bouchard Hall President & CEO
